Volvo car Panamerican highway was completed in Cartagena
Not for the first time they make a trip end of these in 2008 crossed Europe and reached the western end of the former Soviet Union.More than 15,000 km and a total of 35 days it took a group of 200 Dutch across South America, from Buenos Aires to Cartagena aboard 90 ‘oldies well taken’ from Volvo, in a trip that representatives of the brand Swedish in our country, Chaneme Commercial, described as ‘crazy’.
And they were right, it takes time, money and above all, a lot of confidence in the vehicle to join a trip of this magnitude without more support than fellow adventurers, a truck with basic spare parts and a ‘nanny’ in case drew some of the hand irons.
But none of that happened, or at least was what they told us some of their members, whom we caught in the parking of the hotel Hilton Cartagena when they were already enlisting their vehicles to ship them back to his native country.
“Except the damage themselves from a tour of these, such as recalentamientos, changes of pills or you guayas depleted, everything went smoothly,” said while they packed their things.
So confident in their cars has an explanation: not only because they are convinced that any Volvo can face anything, but because it is the first time they make a folly of these in 2008 crossed Europe and reached the western end of the former Soviet Union.
